sea salt with spices
Kamal Mouzawak whom I talked about in the previous post, has in his restaurant a few shelves lined with products that come from all corners of Lebanon, that are produced organically and that he sells in the restaurant as well as at his farmer’s market. I wanted to buy some of these foods and take them home with me to the States; he would not let me pay. I left him with a bag-full of goodies, all made by producers he knows personally.
Now I have received quite a few goodies from bloggers and I would like to return the favor. So I am offering them to one of you and I will ship them to your address. I will draw a name the last day of January 2010. Here’s what you need to do if you are interested:
Leave a comment on the previous post (the one entitled Kamal Mouzawak, a food visionary for Lebanon). That’s it!
I will let you know if you won the draw. My only proviso is that your state of residence would allow these goodies.

I will include a recipe booklet with the goodies; included in the box of goodies: zaatar mix (no salt), sea salt with spices (extracted from the mediterranean the traditional way), freekeh (green wheat, smoked-very nutritious), kammouneh ( a spice mix with cumin, dried rose leaves and other spices).

Zaatar mix

smoked green wheat (frikeh)

Hi Joumana
I’d love to be in the draw for this. Australia has a very strict quarantine though. This is the list of prohibited food: http://www.daff.gov.au/aqis/mail/cant-mail
If any of the excellent stuff you have passes the test, count me in

Great giveaway Joumana. I’ d love to taste some of these spices.
Very nice and interesting spices. Once I sent some spices from Turkey to France by post and they never arrived so I am not sure yours would reach me so I’d rather you don’t count me in the draw even if it is very tempting!!!! I also loved all your articles about Beirut: This is not how I imagined the city and life there!
I am in.
I however live in Spain. Is this too far?
What fantastic foodie goodies. I left a comment on your prevous post to enter in the draw!! Thanks!

Coool! I’m in! Thank you for this.
Hope I win!
