Hi Mely
Thanks! I checked your blog and love it too! Actually, I adore Mexican cuisine and love the richness and variety. One of my friends, Connie, had made a dish one day with a poblano cream that was to die for. Do you have it in your blog?

Hi Jean! and thanks so much for visiting my blog! I am not against creativity, quite the contrary! I simply meant that if a book claims to represent the cuisine of Lebanon than at least it should be faithful to the traditional and authentic cuisine of the area! That's all.

I guess we all want the best of both worlds: creativity and keeping traditions... At least, one would wish that homebound Lebanese chefs would venture in new territory, and try exploring where to take Lebanese cuisine in the future, but they seem firmly stuck in \traditions\ (as much we love it). Perhaps it makes sense that it has to be an Australian born Lebanese to show the way forward, even though I do agree that his recipes seem very far removed from Lebanese roots...
